Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who is gaining recognition for her outstanding performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her movie Piano was awarded an Oscar. At a young age her acclaimed actress started performing on stage in a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. It has always been her passion. In fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original play. When she was in the fifth grade after having mumps she lost hearing in the left ear. However, she did not let it stop her from performing. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and eventually moved to New York City. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in a lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. Following her move to Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged an acting role as a support on Swing Shift. For the past 30 years Holly Hunter has been on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
