Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress as well as producer and director. She has been praised for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. She started her career as an actor on Broadway and Off Broadway. As a child, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth grade play. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one of her ear canals, but that did not stop her from pursuing her dream. While in college, she studied drama after which she relocated in New York City with her goals to achieve them. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. The first time she appeared in a film was when she moved to Los Angeles. In the last three decades Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also her Women in Film Lucy Award.
